I faced exactly the same issue few days back. i am using Toshiba M300 laptop. I used more upgrade BIOS Tools to reflash my Toshiba M300 BIOS. This is how you can upgrade and flashing your BIOS. (You'll not need to have a usb floppy drive to create this recovery disk).

• Notebook is undocked.
• Notebook is connected to the mains.
• Notebook must be in boot mode and not resume mode.
• Remove any connected Hardware like PC Cards, USB devices...
• Do not switch off during the BIOS update!

1. Download the BIOS from the Toshiba BIOS download section on www.toshiba-tro.de for your Toshiba notebook and make sure to select the Version which is corresponding to the operating system your are currently using or SM300L310B480_WIN32.rar – WinPhlash for 32bit, here

2. Extract the zip file containing the BIOS upgrade then double click on the extracted BIOS.bat

3. The following Windows appears and the BIOS update process starts automatically

4. If process is finished then the system will restart automatically

5. While Toshiba LOGO screen is displayed, press [F2] key to start BIOS Setup Menu and see new version of your BIOS laptop.
